Registered or Provisional Psychologists

Mindbuffs is looking to add a full-time contracted psychologist (registered or provisional) to our team.

Masters in Counselling Students

Mindbuffs will be accepting applications from students from City U, Yorkville, or Athabasca University beginning September 1st, 2022 for Winter 2023 Students and January 1st, 2023 for Fall 2023 Students.

Clinician Skills

  • Demonstrated strong clinical skills in assessment, formulation, and treatment with an ability to utilize flexible strategies for engaging and working with individuals.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client-centred service and care.

  • Ability to assess and treat a generalist caseload in addition to one’s areas of specialization.

  • Ability to maintain client files.

  • Familiarity with a range of evidence-based treatment modalities and approaches.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills. Clinicians need to have exceptional organizational and time management skills as all assessment activities and reports must be completed in a diligent and timely manner.

  • Ability to work independently as well as to contribute actively to team or treatment plan objectives.

  • Superior communication skills (oral and written).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Psychology or Counselling Psychology. 

  • Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists.

  • Provisional psychologists are welcome to apply so long as the College of Alberta Psychologists has approved credentials. 

  • EMDR trained or enrolled in the next EMDR training. 

  • Fluency in another language would also be considered an asset. 

  • Clinical Hypnosis, ACT, and Mindfulness training would also be considered an asset.

    • Full time (4+ days a week): $1200/month

    • Part-time (2 or less days a week): $600/month

Mindbuffs is looking to add a full-time contracted Registered or Provisional Psychologist to our team! This opportunity will provide your own office space within the Mindbuffs location that is fully furnished, your own clinician Jane account, online booking, and advertising through Mindbuffs to help fill your schedule! You will have full control over your schedule and the days/hours you want to work. We are offering an experience like no other in Alberta in the area of Sport and Performance Psychology.
