Get to know me

During my time as a professional hockey player, I became acutely aware of how trying the task of maintaining peak physical and mental performance was during each season. I also became aware that some of my mental habits engrained from childhood were not as effective as they once were. I became keen to discover more about sports and performance psychology and how to use those principles to better myself both on and off the ice.

Some of the most significant pieces of the puzzle were my values and the directions and goals I wanted for myself personally and professionally. I now keenly believe that personally defining one’s values can be a reinforcing compass for keeping efforts and energies focused in the right direction to achieve desired personal goals. At Mindbuffs, I seek to aid individuals in taking stock of what is and is not working in both their lives and sports and performance domains; ask themselves to define who they are, what they want, and where they want to get to; and provide them with mental tools to chase a life or sporting endeavour guided by their direction for success.
